Problem
E-commerce merchants managing fulfillment workflows needed a system to synchronize Shopify orders with shipping carriers and automate order-to-label workflows. Staff were manually copying order data from Shopify admin into carrier websites, leading to transcription errors, delays in generating labels, and missed tracking updates back to customers. OneShip was built to act as the operational bridge between storefronts and shipping processes.
Engineering
Aivora Studios built a webhook ingestion pipeline in Laravel to process incoming order events with signature validation and deduplication. Standardized carrier API requests through a unified adapter interface, allowing swapping or addition of shipping providers without altering core order processing logic. Label generation jobs are queued and retried with exponential backoff when carrier APIs are slow or unavailable.
Operational Impact
Automated the order-to-label workflow for e-commerce operations, reduced manual data entry between systems, and streamlined fulfillment tracking. Tracking updates flow back to Shopify automatically, improving customer experience with accurate shipment notifications.
